    Insights from this Episode
    • One of the things we learned early days is a very strong focus on customers, be it the landlord's at that point when we slowly sold the apartments or ultimately the customers who lived with us - Rajesh
    • They're really bringing neighbourhoods to life and creating communities, which I think that's what a lot of us are all seeking, this new concept of living – Louisa
    • I spent probably 12 months heavily researching and taking the foundation we had within Quintain, but looking very, very hard at what the customers really want as renters at large in London and beyond what our pain points were – Rajesh
    • we want to make sure we stand uniquely for, is the whole strength and depth in customer service – Rajesh
    • Rather than sector specific, what we've been testing very heavily in our recruitment is mindset. People really willing to go the extra mile are people really willing to put themselves into the customer shoes, willing to take every problem to its resolution – Rajesh
    • But ultimately, the success with the data is really are we improving enhancing the customer enjoyment and benefits – Rajesh

    Insights from this Episode

    • People don't realise actually how fast technology has developed, the progress within artificial learning and the speed of processes and the amount of data we have, and the scale of computational power that’s now at our disposal, is absolutely extraordinary – Antony Slumbers
    • The user experience of your space is going to represent your brand, and the brand is going to represent your value – Antony Slumbers
    • People are going to use your space if it enables them to be as productive as possible. And the only way you're going to do that is by really understanding the jobs to be done with people, and their wants, needs and desires, and then providing them with space that offers them the services they need as and when they use them – Antony Slumbers
    • Clearly we are at a time of huge change, I’d just like to say it's going to happen anyway. So really embrace it as an opportunity and think hard about how can you rework your value proposition, your business models, your offering to your customers, to take account of the change – Antony Slumbers
    • They create an ecosystem of partners that they work with, provides all these skills. So we have real estate skills, networking skills, data skills, workplace skills, HR skills, hospitality skills and we combine them all and we get them all working together. And that's the way we're going to create great spaces – Antony Slumbers

    Insights from this Episode
    • We provide a platform for each one of the stakeholders that exist in commercial real estate… all focused on giving the end user, the employee, a better experience through their day. And that is really important  Clinton Robinson
    • We've got to learn how to work together and take the best parts of real estate and the best part parts of tech companies, and put those together. And that's how we're going to win – Clinton Robinson
    • Tenant engagement is really important. That's an important part, and the Lane platform does that really well. That's an important piece of this bigger puzzle. But if you just focus on that you haven't solved the bigger picture – Clinton Robinson
    • What I think is interesting about COVID, I think we're now starting to see a shift of a lot of interest to the suburban work places – Clinton Robinson
    • Understanding how the entire industry is structured is so important. All business is relationships, but in commercial real estate it's the next level, it is all relationships. It's who can connect you, who can vouch for you – Clinton Robinson

    Insights from this Episode

    - The number one lesson is it doesn't matter what product you're backing, doesn't matter what segment you're backing, it always comes down to the entrepreneurs – Gregory Dewerpe
    - You're going to work a lot with those people in tough times, in good times, but more importantly in tough times, and being able to understand who's across the table means you can help them better and you can support them better. And so a lot of work needs to go into the people. It's really all about the people – Gregory Dewerpe
    - I always say I'm looking for humility. Humility is something that might sound very generic, but for me, I always say that when you find humble people, it means they're open minded to learn, they know they can get better, they're also able to change their plans when it doesn't go the way they want – Gregory Dewerpe
    - For me, everything around the decarbonisation is essential because the only way to be more efficient from a carbon standpoint is to become digital and tech enabled – Gregory Dewerpe
    - Since we've all been in lockdown, we've all had that time to take a step back and realise what's important, what's going on in the world and to actually really appreciate it, and make changes – Louisa Dickins
    - The office has been challenged over many decades. It needs to reinvent itself and I'm sure it will, it just going to be different and different doesn't mean worse... We reinvent ourselves, we reinvent the way we work and how we work, and how we interact with one another. So there's certainly going to be some great things happening so for me, it's all positive when I think about the future – Gregory Dewerpe
    - For issues like sustainability, I think the collaboration between private and public is actually essential – Gregory Dewerpe
